Description

Ultrasonic level meter is a digital level meter which is processed by a high performance microprocessor. In the measurement, the ultrasonic pulse is sent out by the sensor (transducer), the sound wave is reflected by the surface of the object is received by the same sensor, by the receiving circuit, filter circuit, envelope circuit, converted into the processor can recognize the electrical signal, the processor records the ultrasonic transmission and reception between the time, so as to calculate the sensor to the measured object distance. Due to the use of non-contact measurement, the measured medium is almost unrestricted, can be widely used in a variety of liquid and solid material height measurement.

Working principle:


The ultrasonic level meter is installed in the upper part of the container. Under the control of the electronic unit, the probe emits a beam of ultrasonic pulses to the measured object. The sound waves are reflected off the surface of the object, and some of the reflected back waves are received by the probe and converted into electrical signals. The time from ultrasonic transmission to re-reception is proportional to the distance between the probe and the object under test. The electronic unit detects this time and calculates the measured distance based on the known speed of sound. The value of the object can be obtained by subtraction. Since temperature has an effect on the speed of sound, the instrument should measure temperature to correct the speed of sound.

Ultrasonic liquid level gauge container installation conditions:


● Airtight container


For measuring range below 8m, the container should have flange port above DN65;


For the measuring range of 10m and 12m, the container should have a flange port of DN80 or above, and the length of the nozzle under the flange should be less than 15cm.


For 15m range, the container should have a flange port of DN150 or more, and the nozzle length under the flange should be less than 15cm.


For a range of 20m, 30m, or 40m, the container must have a flange port of DN200 or more, and the length of the nozzle under the flange must be less than 20cm.


● Open container


For the measuring range below 8m, there should be a mounting port with a diameter above 65mm on the container;


For the measuring range of 10m and 12m, the container shall have a mounting port with a diameter of more than 80mm and a thickness of less than 15cm.


For a 15m range, the container shall have a mounting port with a diameter of more than 150mm and a thickness of less than 15cm.


For ranges of 20m, 30m, and 40m, the container must have a mounting port with a diameter of more than 200mm and a thickness of less than 20cm.


● Open pool


A mounting support is required. Outdoor application in cold areas: open pool: It should be installed with increased height to prevent frosting and icing of ultrasonic probe.


Container: flange outdoor installation, should take warm measures; Unable to keep warm, should order probe elongated ultrasonic level meter, so that the probe into the inside of the container.
