This characteristic determines that fire-resistant cables play an important role in modern urban and industrial buildings, because once a fire occurs, the power supply circuits of control, monitoring, guidance and alarm systems must be maintained in normal operation.


The main use of refractory cable:


Fire-resistant cables are mainly used in the power supply circuit from emergency power supply to the user's firefighting equipment, fire alarm equipment, ventilation and smoke exhaust equipment, guiding lights, emergency power sockets, emergency elevators, etc.


Staff need to pay attention to the following problems when installing refractory cables:


1. When fire-resistant cables are used in cable-dense cable tunnels, cable interlayers, or located in inflammable places such as oil tubing and oil depot, Class A fire-resistant cables should be selected first. In addition to these cases, and the number of cable configuration is small, Class B refractory cable should be selected.


2. Refractory cables are mostly used as the power supply circuit of emergency power supply, requiring normal operation in case of fire. Because the ambient temperature rises sharply during the fire, in order to ensure the transmission capacity of the line and reduce the voltage drop, the section of the fire-resistant cable should be enlarged by at least one gear for the circuit with longer power supply line and strictly defined allowable voltage drop.

4. In order to reduce the failure probability of cable joints in fire accidents, the number of joints should be reduced as far as possible during installation to ensure that the line can work normally in fire. If you need to do branch wiring, the joint should do a good job of fire treatment.
